FIBRE-REINFORCED POLYESTER

Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) or Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) is a composite construction material made of unsaturated polyester-based resin used as a binder with glass fiber. Glass fiber is a highly flexible material, in part due to its resistance to heat. Plastic, on the other hand, is flexible but does not have sufficient mechanical strength. When these two materials are combined with polyester-based resin, using a complicated molding technique, a new composite material with high mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistance is formed.

XPS FOAM

XPS is also a thermoplastic polymer that has a closed-cell structure and is often stronger with much higher mechanical performance as well as is, thus, often more expensive than EPS.
